Probably one of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria and not without reason a member of the “Leading golf courses” – the golf course in Zell am See-Kaprun.
2 x 18 holes with a fantastic panorama of the “Kitzsteinhorn” glacier and the surrounding mountains make every golfer’s heart beat faster. The south-facing course “Kitzsteinhorn” (par 73) is a little bit easier to play than the championship course “Schmittenhöhe” (par 72) and also allows dog owners to take their pets onto the course.
After finishing the round local delicacies are on the menu in the restaurant. On the sun terrace you can review the golfing experience between glacier, mountain & lake and analyse the best shots of the round.
Golf course “Schmittenhoehe”
The championship course “Schmittenhoehe” at the Zell am See Golf Club not only impresses with its top maintenance and dreamlike panorama, but also with its design. Raised greens, cleverly placed bunkers, serious water hazards and many doglegs make the golfing experience unforgettable. A great par 72 course that really has it all!
Golf course “Kitzsteinhorn”
As the name of the 18-hole course at Golfclub Zell am See might suggest, the holes offer a fantastic view of the nearby glacier “Kitzsteinhorn”. Partly wide fairways & open greens make the course easier to play than the championship course, but there are pitfalls waiting on the back nine, such as on the 10th hole – the signature hole of the course: a dogleg par 5 with a half island green make the approach a real challenge!
After 9 holes, you pass directly by the clubhouse and can get some refreshments in the golf restaurant for the second half!
